Children must advise their parents with good manners and explain the danger of magic, which can reach the level of major disbelief (kufr akbar). As for eating food that contains magic, there is no sin in merely consuming it if it does not contain impurity and no harm is feared from it. The sin lies with the one who performs the magic, requests it, or assists in it. If the children are certain of the presence of magic and fear harm, they should refrain from consuming it. If they suspect its presence, they are permitted to abstain from it. There is no blame if they eat from it. They may also abstain from it if they find it repulsive or fear harm from it, and this will not be considered disobedience.
