What is the ruling on a divorced woman traveling for work to earn a livelihood and support her daughter?

A divorced woman or a married woman is not permitted to travel except with a mahram. A divorced woman must remain in her home during her iddah (waiting period). She is allowed to leave during the day for work and to attend to necessities. Necessities permit prohibitions, such as the absence of financial support or work, and a mahram is required at that time.
