Is it Islamically permissible for a woman who has been divorced and has not received her dower, and who has faced difficulty finding employment after leaving her original job for marriage, to travel to another city for the purpose of work, given that there is no one to provide for her, and knowing that she is still observing her 'iddah (waiting period) and it has not yet expired? And what is the Islamic ruling on this action of hers?

A woman is not permitted to leave her husband's home except with his permission; otherwise, it constitutes nushuz (disobedience), which forfeits her right to maintenance.

If a husband divorces his wife, she is obligated to remain in the marital home and not leave during the day except out of necessity, and at night only for an urgent need. She is not permitted to travel during her iddah (waiting period) except for an extreme necessity. If her travel is for work, and she can find work in her own city, or if her father provides for her, then she is sinful and must repent.

A divorced woman has rights, such as the mahr (dower) and maintenance, provided she was not disobedient.
