The aforementioned Hadith is authentic, narrated by Al-Bukhari, Muslim, and others. Its wording is: "Four traits, whoever possesses them is a pure hypocrite; and whoever possesses one of them, possesses a characteristic of hypocrisy until he abandons it: when entrusted, he betrays; when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a covenant, he breaks it; and when he disputes, he deviates from the truth." The meaning of "and when he disputes, he deviates from the truth" is that he inclines away from truth and speaks falsehood and lies.
