Is it true that following Islam means following the Torah, the Gospel, and the Qur’an together, and not just the Qur’an and the Sunnah, based on His (Allah's) saying: ﴿And how do they make you judge while they have the Torah, in which is the judgment of Allah?﴾ and His saying: ﴿Say: Then bring a Book from Allah which is better guide than these two [the Torah and the Gospel] and I will follow it, if you are truthful?﴾?

The origin of the religion of the Prophets is one, which is the monotheism of Allah and His worship. However, the rulings of what is lawful and unlawful, and the details of worship, are specific to each Prophet's law. Since the law of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the final and most complete of laws, it is obligatory to refer to the Quran and Sunnah (definition) until the Day of Judgment. Allah has abrogated with the law of Muhammad (peace be upon him) what preceded it from other laws, except for what was affirmed by it, unlike belief and matters of faith, which are constant.

Therefore, the statement that following Islam means following the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran instead of the Quran and Sunnah is rejected for several reasons: 1. The Torah and the Gospel have been distorted. 2. It is obligatory to follow the law of Muhammad (peace be upon him) alone, which is the Quran and Sunnah. 3. Allah Almighty perfected the religion and completed the favor with the Quran and Sunnah.

As for the verses that speak about judging by the Torah, their meaning is to rebuke the Jews who are not pleased with the judgment of Allah nor with the judgment of His Messenger, and their distortion of the word of Allah.
