How can I honor and deal with my parents, knowing that they openly disobey God, bearing in mind that I try to avoid sitting with them to prevent being provoked by their transgressions, and I have stopped advising them due to their unresponsiveness?

A child's sorrow upon seeing their parents engaged in disobedience to Allah is natural, but guidance is in the hands of Allah. The child must continue to advise their parents gently and wisely, showing respect and reverence, and recognizing their rights and merits. If they persist in disobedience, they should be gently discouraged, and then left if they do not respond, and the child should not sit where Allah is disobeyed. The child should also frequently supplicate for their guidance, obey them in matters that do not involve disobedience to Allah, treat them with kindness, endure any harm they might cause, and clarify that open defiance in sin is among the greatest transgressions.
