Has Almighty God become angry with me because I failed my studies, and how can I know that and appease Him and succeed in this world and the Hereafter, and how can I ward off thoughts of women given the mixing of genders, and is it permissible to associate with disobedient people?

God's pleasure and wrath are part of the Unseen. Academic failure is not a sign of God's hatred, just as success is not a sign of His love. To treat thoughts of women, it is recommended to marry, occupy oneself with acts of obedience, and associate with righteous people, in addition to voluntary fasting, frequent remembrance of God (dhikr) and supplication (du'a), filling one's time with beneficial activities, and avoiding provocations. Avoid associating with bad friends unless you are certain of your positive influence on them without being negatively affected yourself. Mixing with sinners and disbelievers for the purpose of giving advice is better than shunning them, unless it is highly probable that they will not benefit from the advice, in which case it is better to distance oneself from them.
