What is the ruling on working in a government job if the state's revenues are mixed between what is lawful (such as legitimate tax revenues) and what is unlawful (such as usury, illegal tolls, and alcohol revenues), and similarly, working for a person who owns institutions whose work is lawful, but he also owns a hotel that sells alcohol?

If a person's wealth is mixed between lawful (halal) and unlawful (haram), it is permissible to work for them, provided that the work itself is lawful and does not involve assisting in anything forbidden. This applies to both government and private sector jobs. The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) dealt with the Jews through buying, selling, and leasing, despite their wealth being mixed with usury.
