What is the ruling of Sharia regarding my wife and her family's problems, what is the expiation for my oath, and what do you advise me to do, knowing that I swore to divorce my wife if she did not return by a certain date, and that date has passed and she has not returned?

The wise Sharia has clarified how to deal with a rebellious wife who disobeys her husband in what is proper, especially concerning the marital bed. It is not permissible for a husband to curse his wife, even if the angels curse her for refusing his bed, and he has misunderstood this and erred by shouting in her face, as this contradicts good marital conduct.

Caution must be exercised regarding two serious matters: taking problems to the family, because it might ignite the fire of discord and complicate the issue further, and the family's interference by inciting the wife to rebellion and preventing her return. It is recommended to pray for Allah to rectify the situation and achieve reconciliation, for "reconciliation is better," while reminding everyone that children are the first victims of separation.

As for ambiguous phrases such as: "By Allah, it is haram with divorce" and "My face is haram from her face," the matter is complex and requires clarification from the husband about his intention. Therefore, it is necessary to consult a Sharia court or a trustworthy scholar.
