What is the crisis of the contemporary Muslim mind, what are its causes and solutions, and what is the role of education in resolving it?

The intellect is a divine gift with which Allah distinguished humans from inanimate objects and animals. It is through the intellect that one is made accountable, for the accountable person is the mature and intelligent one. With it, one distinguishes between good and evil, guidance and misguidance. When used, it becomes a means to follow the path of guidance. When Muslims exercised their intellects, they believed, and their faith improved, so they sacrificed themselves and supported Allah's religion, and the world submitted to them, and they conquered lands.

As for the current state of Muslims, an observer will notice a crisis, as they have abandoned the Book of Allah and neglected the Sunnah of the Prophet. They have lost their identity and have begun to seek guidance from those who have no religion. Desires and devils have led them to temptations and doubts set up for them by enemies who have mobilized their forces and extinguished the light of faith from many minds. It is incumbent upon Muslims to awaken from their heedlessness and be aware of these conspiracies, and that there should be among them a group that invites to good, enjoins what is right, and forbids what is wrong, as Allah commanded: "And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those are the successful." [Aal Imran: 104].

Education plays a primary role in the victory of Islam. If people are raised on what the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, raised his companions, and on sound Islam free from false beliefs and innovations, and on sound Islamic thought based on subjecting the intellect to revelation, and on prophetic morals, and the love of Allah and longing to meet Him, then darkness will vanish and victory will return, Allah willing.
