What is the authenticity of the hadith attributed to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, in which he teaches Mu'adh ibn Jabal a supplication for paying off debt, beginning with "O Allah, Master of the Kingdom..." and ending with "have mercy on me with a mercy by which You make me independent of the mercy of anyone other than You"?

The Hadith (definition) is narrated with this wording in Al-Tabarani's Al-Mu'jam Al-Saghir from Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Mu'adh: "Shall I not teach you a supplication (du'a) which, if you were to invoke it, Allah would pay off your debt, even if it were as large as Mount Uhud? Say, O Mu'adh: 'O Allah, Sovereign of all sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humiliate whom You will. In Your hand is all good. Indeed, You are over all things competent. Most Merciful of this world and the Hereafter, and Their Most Compassionate. You bestow them upon whom You will and You withhold them from whom You will. Have mercy on me, a mercy that makes me independent of the mercy of anyone other than You.'"

And in Al-Tabarani's Al-Mu'jam Al-Kabir from Mu'adh ibn Jabal, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him when he missed him: "O Mu'adh, shall I not teach you a supplication (du'a) which, if you were to invoke it, Allah would pay off your debt, even if it were as large as Mount Sabir - and Sabir is a mountain in Yemen? So invoke it, O Mu'adh, say: 'O Allah, Sovereign of all sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humiliate whom You will. In Your hand is all good. Indeed, You are over all things competent. You cause the night to enter the day and You cause the day to enter the night. And You bring the living out of the dead and You bring the dead out of the living. And You provide for whom You will without account. Most Merciful of this world and the Hereafter, and Their Most Compassionate. You bestow upon whom You will from them and You withhold from whom You will. Have mercy on me, a mercy that makes me independent of the mercy of anyone other than You.'"

And in Sunan al-Tirmidhi from Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, that a mukatab (slave who has an agreement to buy his freedom) came to him and said: "I have failed to fulfill my contract, so help me." He said: "Shall I not teach you words that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, taught me? If you had a debt like Mount Thabir, Allah would pay it off for you." He said: "Say: 'O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful provision against Your unlawful, and enrich me with Your bounty, making me independent of anyone other than You.'"
