The answer

We advise patience and forgiveness towards the husband's family and overcoming problems, based on the Almighty's saying: "Repel [evil] with that which is better, and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity will become as though he was a devoted friend," and His saying: "So whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is due from Allah. Indeed, He does not like wrongdoers," and the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Allah increases a servant in nothing by forgiveness except honor." Corruption of mutual relations is destructive, for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Rectifying mutual relations, for indeed, the corruption of mutual relations is the razor [that shaves away religion]." Since the husband does not compel his wife to go to his family's home, but he cannot abandon his brothers, this indicates his good character. Therefore, it can be suggested to alternate spending Eid between the couple's home and his family's home, or to spend some time in the couple's home then visit his family, in a way that serves the interest of both of you.
