Is supplication in the last third of the night during prayer better than supplication in the five obligatory prayers?

The issue of preferring certain times over others is a matter of divine instruction (tawqifi), and there is no evidence that preferring supplication in the depth of the night is better than supplication after the obligatory prayers. Rather, the hadith indicates that they are equal in virtue. One should supplicate during all virtuous times.
