What is the religious ruling on a female student continuing her university studies in another city without a mahram, and must she abandon her studies in her final year?

Previous fatwas have been issued prohibiting a woman from traveling without a mahram, and this is what the Sunnah indicates. The field of tourism and hotels is rife with sins and immoralities, especially hotels that deal with foreigners. Therefore, it is not permissible for a Muslim woman to study tourism and hotels due to the Sharia-based prohibitions involved. What is obligatory is to stay away from such contaminated environments, even if it requires discontinuing her studies and transferring to another college that has no such prohibitions.
