Allah has been described as a "physician" (Tabeeb) in some prophetic traditions, but it is not permissible to describe Him as "the treating doctor" (Al-Duktoor Al-Mu'alij). This is not considered (polytheism), but there is a concern that it might involve deviation (ilhaad) concerning the names of Allah. For Allah says: (And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them. And leave those who deviate concerning His names.)
