Is there a Shar'i or jurisprudential rule regarding the determination of lengths and boundaries in land sales and disputes over their areas, and does it state, "Boundaries are more eloquent than lengths"?

Discrepancies in quantities, weights, measurements, areas, and similar matters are referred back to the custom and traditions of the people of the land. The principle for referring to these matters is the customs and traditions of people, based on the Almighty’s saying: "Hold to forgiveness, command what is good, and turn away from the ignorant," and the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying to Hind: "Take what is sufficient for you and your child in a reasonable manner."
