What is the difference between Arabs and Muslims?

The difference between Arabs and Muslims is a distinction between religion and lineage. Arabs are an ethnicity who speak Arabic, regardless of their religion, whereas Muslims are those who have embraced Islam, regardless of their lineage or language. The bond of faith is central to this, and it is the true bond that has no relation to race, color, or language, as Allah Almighty said: "O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted." (Al-Hujurat: 13), and as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O people, indeed your Lord is one, and your father is one. Verily, there is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab, nor for a non-Arab over an Arab, except by piety." Narrated by Ahmad.
