Is the phrase "زيادة يحيي ويميت" (Ziyadah gives life and causes death) correct, and is mentioning morning and evening correct?

The 'tahlil' (declaration of God's Oneness) in the morning and evening remembrances has been reported in two forms:

The first is one hundred times, which is: "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, He has no partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and all praise, and He is over all things competent." This has immense merit.

The second is ten times, using the same aforementioned wording, and it also has merit.

What is preserved regarding the 'tahlil' in the morning and evening remembrances is that it is without the addition of (He gives life and causes death).
