Is a husband's obedience absolute, even if it goes against custom, as long as it does not contradict religion? And does it have limits, or is it part of obedience to Allah? And what are a wife's rights?

A wife must obey her husband in everything that does not contravene Islamic law. She must please him and safeguard his honor and property in his absence. She must also allow him to be intimate with her whenever he desires. This is based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) sayings: “Any woman who dies while her husband is pleased with her will enter Paradise,” and “If I were to command anyone to prostrate to other than Allah, I would have commanded the wife to prostrate to her husband.”

Similarly, the wife has rights over her husband, including: the dowry (mahr), maintenance (nafaqa) in a reasonable manner, sexual gratification, spending nights with her, and justice between wives if he has more than one.
