How is the estate of my deceased mother, who left behind six daughters, no sons, one brother, and four sisters, to be divided?

If the deceased mother did not leave heirs other than those mentioned, the seven daughters receive two-thirds of the inheritance. The remainder is distributed among the brother and sisters by 'asaba (agnatic succession), with the male receiving the share of two females, provided the brother and sisters are full siblings or paternal siblings. In this case, the inheritance is divided into eighteen shares: each daughter receives two shares, the brother receives two shares, and each sister receives one share.

However, if the brother and sisters are only maternal siblings, they do not inherit alongside the daughters. The entire wealth then goes to the daughters: they receive two-thirds as a prescribed share (fard), and the remainder by 'radd' (return).
