What is the ruling on marrying a religious and good-tempered person, given a 25% probability of having children afflicted with thalassemia and a 50% probability of them being carriers, due to both spouses being carriers of the disease?

Marriage aims at procreating righteous offspring and increasing the nation of Muhammad (peace be upon him), as stated in the Hadith (definition): "Marry the affectionate, the fertile, for I will boast of your multitude before the nations." If the prospective spouses know that their marriage might result in sick children, it is better to abandon it to prevent harm and minimize damage. If both spouses are carriers of the disease, the probability of having an affected child is 25%, a carrier is 50%, and a healthy child is 25%. If one of them is healthy and the other is a carrier, the probability of having a healthy child is 50%, a carrier is 50%, and there is no probability of an affected child. Therefore, it is preferable to marry a healthy person, and whoever abandons this marriage with the intention of protecting children and limiting the spread of the disease will be rewarded, and Allah will compensate them with good.
