Is it permissible to transcribe audio clips that include names of songs or singers, knowing that the clip does not exceed six seconds and does not contain music, and is the money earned from work later found to be unlawful permissible to benefit from?

Preventing or permitting the transcription of audio materials and charging a fee for it depends on what results from listening to the material. If it is a promotion for a forbidden song or for the wicked person who sang it, then it is not permissible to transcribe it, because that is aiding in evil and promoting it. Allah Almighty says: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." If there is no promotion in it, then there is no harm in transcribing it and benefiting from what is gained thereby, just like mentioning the names of oppressors and wicked people in biographical books without prohibiting their reading or copying.
