Will God reward the person with sensitive feelings for the affliction they experience according to their toil and their perception of the affliction, or according to people's perception and the apparent magnitude of the affliction?

A person's reward is commensurate with their pain and patience, whether the pain is physical or emotional. What matters is what the person themselves feels, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were a prick of a thorn, but Allah expiates some of his sins thereby." People's reactions to afflictions differ. If the affliction is met with patience, expiation and elevation of ranks occur. If patience is not achieved without blameworthy impatience, the reward is less. If blameworthy impatience occurs, the reward or expiation decreases.
