Are clothes washed in an automatic washing machine with najis (impure) garments, and which included wooden buttons, considered najis due to the wood absorbing the impurity? And what is the ruling on clothes, ropes, and wooden pegs? And what is the evidence for wood being najis and not pure?

The religion of Allah is ease, and succumbing to obsessive whispers (waswas) leads to great harm, so turn away from them. As for the impure wooden buttons, if the impurity has reached their interior, scholars differ on whether they can be purified by washing. The preponderant opinion is that the interior becomes pure by virtue of the exterior becoming pure, especially for those afflicted with waswas. This is a strong opinion, and there is no harm in acting upon it. It is supported by the fact that all purifications are based on the apparent (outer) parts, not on the inner cavities.
