Allah Almighty has exclusively reserved the knowledge of future unseen matters. Therefore, anyone who claims to know it is a liar, an fabricator, and an infidel. The proof is His (Allah's) saying: "And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned the five keys of the unseen that none knows except Allah: knowledge of the Hour, the descent of rain, what is in the wombs, what a soul will earn tomorrow, and where a soul will die. Thus, anyone who claims to know the time of a person's death, even by inferring from signs, is a fabricator and a liar. Accordingly, it is forbidden to buy, sell, or use a device that claims to know the time of a person's death. However, using it for other medical purposes is permissible.
