It is not permissible for a husband to permit his wife to go out perfumed and adorned, nor is it permissible for her to do so even if the husband gives permission. Some scholars have considered this among the grave sins. If you conditioned your wife's divorce on her adorning herself without your permission, and then you later permitted her to adorn herself whenever she wished, your oath has been dissolved, and divorce will not occur thereafter, even if she adorns herself without your permission.
