Is it sufficient to sprinkle water on the spot affected by madhi, or is it obligatory to wash the clothes with water such that they become soaked and unfit for wearing?

It suffices to sprinkle water on a garment stained with madhy (pre-seminal fluid). Sprinkling involves taking a handful of water and splashing it on the area of impurity. There is no need for rubbing or wringing; rather, water should be poured until it covers the affected spot. If what occurred was merely a wipe, it is not sufficient. Most scholars are of the opinion that "sprinkling" here means washing until the impurity is removed.
