If the deceased has only a wife, a full brother, and a paternal half-brother, the estate is divided as follows: The wife receives one-fourth as a prescribed share due to the absence of a lineal descendant, based on the verse: {And for them (wives) is one fourth of what you leave if you have no child.} The remainder goes to the full brother, as he is the closest male heir. The paternal half-brother receives nothing because he is excluded by the full brother. The estate is divided into four parts: one-fourth for the wife and three-fourths for the full brother.
