What is the ruling on filming scholarly lessons and publishing them online, and is it more appropriate to avoid appearing or to disseminate knowledge, especially considering the need of non-Arabic speaking Muslims for such lessons?

Visual recording is permissible according to the majority of scholars. For its permissibility, it is stipulated that what is being recorded must be permissible, and the purpose of the recording must be commendable, such as recording scholarly lessons. Attention must be paid to two matters: sincerity of intention for Allah Almighty, and excellence in work in terms of the scholarly material and translation. If these conditions are met, then these lessons are considered among the righteous deeds for which the doer will be rewarded, especially lessons on creed.
