Jealousy is an innate disposition in women, but a woman incurs sin if it leads to unlawful words or actions. A wife has the right to reside in a separate dwelling, but if both wives agree to live in one dwelling, each having her own private room, then that is permissible, even though this arrangement might lead to disputes due to jealousy. Wives sharing a dwelling must not wear tight, transparent, or short clothing, and it is not permissible for a wife to expose any part of her body to her co-wife except what is customary, such as the face, head, forearm, and feet.
