Is 'Iddah obligatory for a woman who was divorced after the marriage contract and before consummation, and what is the amount of her right to the Mahr, considering that the divorce occurred due to the disagreement of the spouses over the previously agreed-upon condition of the hijab?

The answer

We ask Allah to keep this woman steadfast, reward her immensely, and compensate her with a righteous husband. She does not have to observe an 'iddah (waiting period), according to the Almighty's saying: "O you who have believed, when you marry believing women and then divorce them before you have touched them, then there is not for you any 'iddah to count concerning them." And she is entitled to half of the agreed-upon dowry. If no dowry was specified for her, then she is entitled to half the dowry of a woman of her standing, as the Almighty says: "And if you divorce them before you have touched them but you have already specified for them an obligation [of dowry] - then [give them] half of what you specified."
