What are the rulings concerning interaction, dress, and domestic duties between spouses during the iddah period if consummation has not occurred, and can the husband take his wife back or divorce her again during the iddah, and what about the fate of the mahr (dowry) and gifts?

If there was a privacy (khulwa) during which intercourse could have taken place, then your divorce is revocable (raji), and a revocable divorce has the same ruling as that of a wife. Therefore, your husband is permitted to be in privacy with you and to take you back during your iddah (waiting period).

Your iddah ends with the completion of three menstrual cycles after the divorce. If he divorces you a second time during the iddah, it is effective. If he divorces you a third time before the iddah ends, a major irrevocable divorce (baynunah kubra) occurs, and he is not permitted to be in privacy with you.

If the iddah ends after the first divorce, a minor irrevocable divorce (baynunah sughra) has occurred, and he cannot take you back except with a new marriage contract and your consent.

If the divorce occurred and was not in exchange for wealth, then you are entitled to your entire dower (mahr), including the jewelry (shabakah) and gifts, and you are not obliged to return any of it.
