Is it permissible to appoint someone as an agent to complete a transaction and receive a fee for that, while paying bribes to employees, which has become customary and without which the transaction cannot be completed?

If a person's legitimate transactions are contingent on paying a bribe to employees, it is permissible for the payer to offer it, but it is forbidden for the recipient to take it. Based on this, the ruling on an agent paying a bribe is as follows: if their principal cannot obtain their right or avert injustice except by means of a bribe, then it is permissible for the agent to pay it with the intention of repelling injustice, and they will be rewarded for it. However, it is not permissible for the agent to take money in exchange for this intercession, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever intercedes for his brother with an intercession and a gift is given to him, and he accepts it, then he has entered a great door from the doors of usury." Nevertheless, it is permissible for him to receive compensation for his effort in following up on the transaction.
