What is the interpretation of the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "Indeed, this religion is firm, so enter into it gently," and what is the opinion regarding someone who believes that if they cannot fully adhere to the religion, then there is no blame upon them for committing sins, citing the example of someone who abandons prayer?

The statement made by some that a disobedient person, if they abandon some acts of obedience, is not required to perform other acts of obedience, is a false statement. For a servant is obligated to obey Allah's commands in all aspects of their life, in compliance with His words: ﴿ENTER INTO ISLAM WHOLLY﴾ and His saying: ﴿AND YOU BELIEVE IN THE ENTIRE SCRIPTURE﴾. This statement is from the deception of Iblis to deter people from acts of obedience, and then he makes them believe that Allah will not forgive them. Adhering to all acts of obedience is a religious obligation. It is not befitting for one who prays to be remiss in acts of obedience or to commit sins. Rather, they must strive to rectify their prayer so that it may deter them from indecency and evil, in fulfillment of Allah's saying: ﴿AND ESTABLISH PRAYER. INDEED, PRAYER PREVENTS INDECENCY AND EVIL.﴾
