A girl, upon reaching puberty as evidenced by its signs or by reaching the age of fifteen, must observe . Her guardian must command her to do so. It is forbidden for a mother to assist her daughter in uncovering, and for a father to remain silent regarding his daughter's obligation to wear hijab, despite being able to enforce it, and his contentment with her uncovering in order to please his wife, makes him one who condones evil within his household.
