What are the things forbidden to do in front of Quranic verses hung on the wall, such as approaching one's wife?

Scholars have differed on the ruling of writing the Quran on walls, with the majority holding that it is not forbidden, and similarly for hanging plaques of the Holy Quran on walls. The places on whose walls Quranic verses are written must be protected from committing sins. As for approaching one's wife and similar permissible acts, these are not prohibited.
