Is it a Sunnah to continuously point the fingertips towards the Qiblah in all states of prayer, or only during prostration, as mentioned in the Hadith: "When he prostrated, he would place his hands down, neither spread out nor clasped together, and would point his fingertips towards the Qiblah"?

Al-Nawawi, Ibn Hajar, Al-Ayni, and Ibn Uthaymeen are of the view that Al-Bukhari's chapter heading, "The Virtue of Facing the Qiblah: One Faces it with the Tips of His Feet," indicates the legitimacy of facing theiblah with all possible limbs in all postures of prayer, especially the fingertips during prostration, standing, and bowing. This is supported by the hadith of Abu Humayd Al-Sa'idi and the action of Ibn Umar. The Malikis are of the view that facing the Qiblah with the feet is a condition for the validity of prayer. It is also Sunnah to direct the fingers of the hands towards the Qiblah during prostration.
