How can one get rid of the feeling of hatred towards siblings whom the questioner hates because of their idleness and disobedience to their parents, and their pretense of righteousness before people, given the inability to confront them or feign love for them?
Love and hate are matters of the heart in which a person has no choice and for which they are not held accountable. Allah Almighty has overlooked mistakes and forgetfulness. Disobeying parents is one of the major sins, and idleness is blameworthy in Islam. Good treatment of people is required, but those closest to you have the priority. It is advised to be patient and to frequently engage in remembrance (dhikr) and supplication (du'a) for their guidance, especially since the supplication of parents is answered. Religion is advice, and it is preferable for it to be given gently and by someone whose words are likely to be heard. It is not permissible to describe them as Gog and Magog, because they are disbelieving nations, and a Muslim should not be likened to them, no matter how bad their conduct.
