Is it permissible to open a shop to sell satellite dishes and receivers, given the suspicion regarding the money earned and the participation in sin if they are used in ways that displease Allah?

Satellite dishes and similar devices for receiving satellite channels are considered a clear evil and a great danger, because owning them often leads to viewing forbidden things and inciting immoral acts. Exposing oneself to temptations is forbidden by Islamic law, based on the Almighty's saying: "And when you see those who engage in [blasphemous] discourse about Our verses, then turn away from them until they engage in another discourse," and His saying: "And when they pass by ill speech, they pass by with dignity."

It is generally not permissible to sell these devices, because they are often used for evil or become a cause for falling into it, and this falls under cooperation in sin and aggression, which is forbidden by the Almighty's saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." However, if the seller knows or strongly believes that the buyer will not use them for something forbidden, then it is permissible to sell them to him, but not to others.
