Is a soldier excused for not praying if he is prevented from doing so inside his military unit, and his disobedience to the order would necessitate a severe punishment?

It is obligatory to observe prayer at its appointed time. It is permissible for a Muslim to delay the Dhuhr prayer to combine it with Asr if he is unable to perform it at its due time due to the hardship of work. However, it is not permissible to delay the prayer beyond its time if the work period is extended, as that constitutes neglecting the prayer. It is obligatory to abandon work that leads to neglecting the prayer or delaying it beyond its time until its time expires.
