What is the ruling on expelling a husband from the home due to his indifference, constant late-night computer use, and continuous playing of PUBG?
If the house is owned by the wife, she has complete freedom to dispose of it as she wishes, and she is permitted to prevent her husband from residing in it. However, if it is owned by the husband, she is not permitted to prevent him from staying in it.
The husband's negligence and waste of time are bad things. It was reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "There are two blessings in which many people are at a loss: health and free time." It was also reported from Umar, may Allah be pleased with him: "Indeed, I dislike to see a man walking aimlessly." And from Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him: "Indeed, I detest a man who is idle, neither engaged in worldly work nor in work for the Hereafter."
The husband should be advised with wisdom and good counsel. Allah might reform him through his wife's sincere supplication. If his actions result in him preventing his wife from her rights, she has the right to demand them from him. If he does not respond, she may refer the matter to the court.
