Is he who elects an unjust ruler a partner in his future injustice?

Whoever elects a ruler knowing his injustice and corruption is sinful for his poor choice, even if the candidate dies before assuming office; because he deceived the nation and betrayed the trust. And if the candidate assumes office and commits injustice, then everyone who chose him, knowing his condition, shares in his burdens; because he reached power through their votes, and "Cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression."
