What is the wisdom behind not allowing the family of a man who dies before his father to inherit?

A Muslim submits to Allah's decree and accepts it, knowing that there is wisdom behind every divine ruling.

Perhaps the wisdom behind grandchildren not inheriting from their grandfather is that the closer relatives have priority in inheritance, as stated in the verse: "For men is a share of what the parents and close relatives leave, and for women is a share of what the parents and close relatives leave, be it little or much - a share ordained."

Nevertheless, it is recommended for the grandfather to make a will in favor of his grandchildren, especially if they are minors or poor. If the grandfather does not bequeath anything to them, it is recommended for the heirs to provide for them from the estate, in compliance with Allah Almighty's command: "And when [other] relatives and orphans and the needy are present at the time of division, then provide for them [something] out of it and speak to them words of kindness."

The matter of inheritance is critical and complex, and it cannot be settled by a mere fatwa; rather, it must be referred to the Sharia courts for investigation and verification.
