Is it permissible to eat lamb and chicken in Finland if no alternative is available, especially given that the meal will be a communal one at the university?

Residing in disbelieving lands poses a danger to a Muslim's religion and character, and is not permissible except under specific conditions. It is not permissible to eat meat from sheep and chickens unless it is confirmed or highly probable that it has been ritually slaughtered (dhakāh), because the default ruling for slaughtered animals is prohibition. If the majority of the inhabitants of the land are People of the Book and they perform the slaughter, then it is permissible to eat their slaughtered animals. However, if there is doubt regarding the one who slaughters or the manner of slaughter, then eating is prohibited.
