What are the schools of thought among scholars regarding retracting forgiveness or supplicating against an oppressor after having forgiven him?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

If the wronged person forgives their oppressor for an injustice that has already occurred, they are not permitted to retract this forgiveness. Forgiveness nullifies the right to demand retribution, and what has been nullified cannot be restored. supplicating against the oppressor after forgiving them is considered an aggression that is forbidden and disliked by Allah Almighty, as He says: (Call upon your Lord humbly and secretly. Indeed, He does not like aggressors).
