Does the Hadith: "You and your wealth belong to your father" mean that a father has the right to insistently and angrily demand a bank statement to know his son's savings and expenditures, despite the son's monthly contribution to help the family?

The hadith "You and your wealth belong to your father" has been declared hasan (good) by some scholars and da'if (weak) by others. It does not indicate that a father owns his son's wealth and can dispose of it as his own, but rather highlights the great status of the parent and the obligation to honor and treat him well. The majority of jurists have held that a father is not permitted to take anything from his son's wealth without his consent if the son is self-sufficient, while the Hanbalis have allowed it under certain conditions. Accordingly, it is not necessary to inform the parent about the bank account and savings details if the son is self-sufficient, but it is obligatory to honor him, treat him well, and be gentle in dealing with him. Patience in this regard is among the causes of Allah's pleasure.
