What is the meaning of: "Al-Tabarani, for example, narrated it with his isnad." What is the meaning of the word: "bisandih" (with his isnad)?

Badr al-Din Ibn Jama'ah defined the isnad (chain of narration) as: "Reporting by way of the text." It was named as such either because it elevates the hadith to its original speaker, or because it is relied upon by the huffaz (hadith memorizers) in determining the soundness or weakness of a hadith. As for the isnad (attribution), it is the raising of the hadith to its original speaker. Both terms are used for the same thing by the hadith scholars. Al-Ethiopi said: "The isnad is: the hadith scholar's reporting of the hadith, mentioning its chain of transmission." So, the meaning of their statement: "Al-Tabarani narrated it with his isnad," is that he mentioned the chain of men from whom he took the hadith, all the way back to the Companion.
