Was my action correct in not abandoning prayer or fasting and not performing ghusl throughout last Ramadan, given that my discharges were interspersed with a little bloody discharge? And was my action correct in abandoning prayer for fifteen days after a little blood appeared, followed by a brownish discharge, then blood? What must I do to make up for what I missed, and how should I act now, given my inability to distinguish between menstrual blood and abnormal bleeding (istihada)?

- The minimum duration for menstruation, according to the majority of scholars, is one day and one night. If drops of blood and brownish discharge do not reach this duration, they are not considered menstruation, and your prayers and fasting are valid.

- If you are certain that these drops reached a day and a night, you must make up the days you saw blood if they did not exceed fifteen days.

- If the duration of bleeding exceeded fifteen days, then you are experiencing istiḥāḍah (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding), and you must make up all the days that were considered menstruation, and make up the prayers of the days of istiḥāḍah if you left off praying, thinking it was menstruation, or if you prayed without performing ghusl (ritual bath).
