Is it permissible to seek blessing (Al-Tabarruk) from the books of scholars, such as by carrying them for reading and seeking blessings through them? And is it permissible to seek blessings from scholars themselves?

Seeking blessings through the knowledge of scholars by sitting with them or reading their books is permissible. However, seeking blessings through their physical selves is forbidden. Seeking blessings through them comes from their role as guides, scholars, and people of prayer and righteousness. Goodness is attained through the blessings of following and obeying them. Sitting with righteous people to benefit from their knowledge and admonition is permissible and is not limited to mosques; it includes every place. One can benefit from them by reading their books and listening to their recordings when it is not possible to sit with them. Therefore, seeking blessings through the books of scholars is not for the papers themselves, but for the beneficial knowledge contained therein.
