How sound is the Hadith: "People will emerge from the East and pave the way for the Mahdi"?

The Hadith, which states: (A people will emerge from the East, and they will pave the way for the Mahdi’s rule) narrated by Ibn Majah and others, has an extremely weak chain of narration due to two defects: Amr ibn Jabir, who was a liar and a Shiite, and Abdullah ibn Lahi’ah, who was known for his poor memory and confusion. Scholars like Al-Haythami, Al-Busiri, and Al-Albani have deemed it weak. Therefore, it should be avoided and not narrated except with a clarification of its status.
